 And more specifically, why our non-riding interactive programs with horses are SO effective?

  • In the wild (VUCA World), Nature - and horses in particular - demonstrate collaborative, agile, benevolent leadership.
  • Communication is clear, direct, assertive.
  • As prey, the horse is responsible for its survival and that of the other members of the herd.
  • The horse will only collaborate with the human (absent of domination), only if the latter demonstrates mastery of a series of soft skills required in nature: confidence, assertiveness, clear communication, inclusion, direction, intention, agility, knowledge of one's role, active listening, emotional agility, empathy, courage, just to name a few.
  • The non-verbal response from a horse provides instant, unbiased feedback as to the presence and quality of these skills, whether to an individual or collective group. Meeting the challenge will require a transformation -not only a cognitive understanding of what needs to be done but a fully integrated understanding)
  • Our unique methodology is based on experiential learning, and is reinforced by both cognitive and somatic inputs. Wásábi has developed its methodoly by combining the latest research in neurosciences, biomimicry, management sciences, experiential learning.
  • Our staff of facilitators and trainers are: experienced and certified experts (including in equine experiential learning) experienced leaders from the business & academic worlds, recognized in their areas of expertise, and of course passionated.

Wásábi means "open your eyes", "see clearly" in Algonquian.  Daring another kind of team building or leadership development course, a kind where you partner with this impressive animal, is daring to challenge yourself and to open your eyes to what works and what can be improved - as an individual or as a team.  Through different exercices with the Horses - even at liberty - they give you an immediate feedback around how you communicate, trust, lead, think, and many more.

Their nature of prey animal will guide their behaviors.  In the wild, their survival depends on their ability to feel and evaluate the other beings.  They will do the same with You.
